As of Sept 2026, SmartSkip lists a flat $0.15 per row for bulk search on its free Basic and $50 a month Premium accounts, and $1 or $0.15 per manual search. Skipmatch charges $0.03 a record. For whole lists Skipmatch's published price is lower; for single lookups and relatives, SmartSkip does what Skipmatch does not.

## The short answer

The two are priced for different jobs. SmartSkip sells one-at-a-time manual searches and a flat per-row bulk search, and its price table lists relatives and associates as included. Skipmatch traces a whole CSV of 50 to 100,000 records, priced per matched record, $0.03 a record for every list size. That is below SmartSkip's $0.15 a row, so on a list Skipmatch's published price is lower at every size it takes. If you look up owners one at a time, or you need relatives, SmartSkip is the better fit.

| Service | Published price | Billed on | Subscription | Unmatched records | Minimum | Source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Skipmatch | $0.03 (any list size) | Per matched record | No | Never charged: released from the checkout hold | 50 records | This site |
| SmartSkip | A flat $0.15 per row for bulk search on both the free Basic account and the $50 a month Premium plan; manual searches are $1 each on Basic and $0.15 on Premium. Premium: 30-day free trial, first-month fee waived. | Per row | Optional: free Basic account, or Premium at $50 a month | Not stated | Not checked | smartskip.io |

## What SmartSkip publishes

SmartSkip's prices are in a table on its homepage, smartskip.io, checked 2026-09-25. The address smartskip.io/pricing returns a not-found page, so every SmartSkip figure here comes from that homepage table.

- Bulk search: $0.15 per row, the same on the free Basic account and on Premium, with no volume tiers.
- Manual search: $1 per search on Basic, $0.15 per search on Premium.
- Accounts: Basic is free to open and has no monthly fee; Premium is $50 a month, with a 30-day free trial and the first month's fee waived.
- Relatives and associates: "Includes relatives" and "Includes associates" are ticked for both accounts. The line under the table reads: "We provide all information about relatives and associates in your results."
- Duplicate owners: its FAQ answers "Do you charge for duplicates?" with "No, we do not charge for duplicates." and gives the reason: "since we charge per owner there is no additional cost if an owner has more than one property in your file."
- Rows with no result: SmartSkip's price table and FAQ do not state whether a row that comes back with no result is charged.
- Minimum order: the price table states none.

This page quotes SmartSkip's prices and the features its price table lists. It does not repeat the claims SmartSkip makes about its own data, coverage or customers.

| Manual searches in a month | Basic | Premium, paid month | Premium, first month (fee waived) |

## What Skipmatch publishes

One price per matched record: $0.03 a record at any list size. Every record in the order is priced at that one rate. The quote is shown before you pay, and, if you pay by card, a hold for that amount is placed on your card at checkout; it is the most the list can cost. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

Orders run from 50 to 100,000 records in one CSV. There is no account fee, no plan and no single-owner lookup. The result file keeps your columns and adds up to 10 phones per owner, each labelled mobile, landline or VoIP, plus up to three emails. It has no relatives or associates columns. Full pricing.

| Term | SmartSkip | Skipmatch |

| Relatives and associates | Ticked as included on both accounts | Not offered |
| Duplicate owners | Billed once per owner (FAQ) | Exact duplicate rows counted once; one owner's different parcels count as separate records |
| Records with no result | Not stated | Never charged: released from the checkout hold |
| Minimum | Not checked | 50 records; Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches. |

## Cost at 500 / 5,000 / 25,000 records

SmartSkip's bulk price does not change with volume, so its bill grows in a straight line. Skipmatch's per-record price does not change with volume either. Bulk search costs the same per row on Basic and Premium, so for list work alone the free Basic account is SmartSkip's lower-cost path; Premium adds its $50 fee in every month after the first.

| | 500 records | 5,000 records | 25,000 records |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Skipmatch, at most | $15.00 ($0.03) | $150.00 ($0.03) | $750.00 ($0.03) |
| SmartSkip bulk, Basic (or Premium's first month), at most | $75.00 | $750.00 | $3,750.00 |
| SmartSkip bulk, Premium in a paid month (adds $50), at most | $125.00 | $800.00 | $3,800.00 |
| Skipmatch's per-record price as a share of SmartSkip's per-row price | 20% | 20% | 20% |

## Per search, per row and per record

Per search is a price for one lookup: you type an owner or an address and pay for that search. SmartSkip's manual search is sold this way, at $1 on Basic or $0.15 on Premium. Skip Genie also counts searches: $58 a month for 100, then $0.17 each (skipgenie.com/join, checked 2026-09-25; see Skipmatch vs Skip Genie).

Per row and per record both price each line of a list you upload. SmartSkip's bulk search is $0.15 per row at any volume. Skipmatch prices per matched record, one price for every record in every list: $0.03 is 20% of SmartSkip's per-row price .

Neither label says on its own whether a line that comes back empty is charged. SmartSkip's price table and FAQ do not state whether a row that comes back with no result is charged (checked 2026-09-25), so this page does not assume either way. What its FAQ does state is that it charges per owner, so an owner who appears more than once in one file is billed once. On Skipmatch, the quote you see before paying covers every record in the order and is the most the list can cost. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

## When SmartSkip is the better fit

- Relatives and associates. SmartSkip's price table ticks them as included on both accounts. Skipmatch has no relatives search and no relatives columns, so for heir hunting or reaching family when the owner cannot be found, SmartSkip does what Skipmatch does not. Finding heirs of a deceased owner.
- Manual deep dives, one owner at a time. SmartSkip sells single manual searches; Skipmatch has no single-owner lookup and its smallest order is 50 records.
- Frequent manual searches on Premium. At $0.15 a search, Premium costs no more than Basic from 59 manual searches a month, and the first month's fee is waived.
- Lists under 50 rows. SmartSkip's price table states no minimum row count and it sells single searches; Skipmatch does not take lists that small.

Skipmatch fits when the job is a whole list of 50 records or more, you want phones with line types and emails added to your own file, and you would rather see the list's total before paying than keep an account. Every service compared.

## Questions

Q: How much does SmartSkip cost per search?
A: SmartSkip's homepage price table (smartskip.io, checked 2026-09-25) lists manual search at $1 per search on the free Basic account or $0.15 on Premium, which is $50 a month, and bulk search at a flat $0.15 per row on both. Skipmatch charges a flat $0.03 a record at any list size from 50 to 100,000 records.

Q: Is SmartSkip free?
A: The Basic account is free to open, but searches on it are paid: $0.15 per row in bulk and $1 per manual search. Premium is $50 a month with a 30-day free trial and the first month's fee waived, per its homepage (checked 2026-09-25). Skipmatch has no account fee or plan; you pay per order. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

Q: What is the difference between per search and per record skip tracing?
A: Per search prices one lookup at a time, the way SmartSkip sells manual search. Per row and per record both price each line of an uploaded list: SmartSkip's bulk search is $0.15 per row at any volume, and Skipmatch prices per matched record, a flat $0.03 a record at any list size from 50 to 100,000 records. SmartSkip's price table and FAQ do not state whether a row that comes back with no result is charged (checked 2026-09-25); its FAQ says it charges per owner and does not charge again for duplicate owners. Compare per-row with per-record for a list, and per-search prices for a few owners.

Q: SmartSkip or Skip Genie: which costs less?
A: On published prices, SmartSkip's bulk search costs less than Skip Genie at both counts below, and Skip Genie costs less than SmartSkip's manual search on the free Basic account. Skip Genie's join page (skipgenie.com/join, checked 2026-09-25) lists $58 a month for 100 searches, then $0.17 each, so 100 searches cost $58.00 and 1,000 cost $211.00 in a month. SmartSkip's homepage (smartskip.io, checked 2026-09-25) lists bulk search at $0.15 a row, so the same counts cost $15.00 and $150.00; as manual searches on Basic they cost $100.00 and $1,000.00. This compares prices only, not results.

Q: Does Skipmatch include relatives and associates?
A: No. Skipmatch has no relatives or associates search, and its result file has no relatives columns: it returns your own columns plus up to 10 phones per owner, each labelled mobile, landline or VoIP, and up to three emails. SmartSkip's price table (checked 2026-09-25) ticks relatives and associates as included on both accounts; if you need them, that is a reason to use SmartSkip.

Q: Does Skipmatch have a minimum order?
A: Yes. A Skipmatch order is one CSV of 50 to 100,000 records, so single-owner lookups belong on a per-search service such as SmartSkip's manual search. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.
