Skip tracing with your AI agent

Yes, an AI agent can skip trace your list on Skipmatch. Once you have set up the account and added prepaid credit, an agent that can use a web browser signs in, uploads your CSV, confirms the columns, pays from your credit and downloads the finished file. Lists cost $0.03 a record, the same as when you run them yourself.

What you do once, and what the agent does every time

Agents use the same pages you do. Skipmatch has no API, API key or MCP server today, so the steps that prove who you are stay with you.

Set up the account yourself

  1. Create the account yourself. Sign up with your email, a password and a phone number. If a confirmation email arrives, click its link.
  2. Accept the permissible-use terms. Every account confirms once, before its first order, what the results may and may not be used for.
  3. Add prepaid credit. Buy a credit pack (from $10) with your card. The balance is what the agent spends, so it never needs your card details.

Read the permissible-use terms before you accept them. They apply to every order, including the ones an agent places for you.

Then hand the order to the agent

  1. Sign in and start a new order. The agent signs in with your email and password and opens a new list order.
  2. Upload the CSV. A .csv with a header row, 50 to 100,000 records and up to 50 MB. Column names do not need to match ours.
  3. Confirm the columns. The mapping step proposes which columns hold the owner name and the address. The agent checks them against the first rows shown and approves.
  4. Pay with credit. The total is shown before payment. If your balance covers it, the agent chooses Pay with credit and no card checkout opens. If the button offers to add credit instead, the balance is too low: the agent should stop and ask you.
  5. Download the result. The order page shows progress, and an email says when the list is ready. The agent downloads the same file with phones, line types and emails added.

Which agents can do this

Any agent that can operate a web browser on your behalf, such as ChatGPT agent, Grok, Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, OpenClaw or Hermes, can follow the steps above. We do not test or certify particular agents, so watch the first order it runs and check the column mapping it approves.

Keep the agent's spending in your hands

  • Tell it to pay only with Pay with credit, and to stop if the order page offers to add credit or open a card checkout. A credit-paid order needs your balance to cover the whole total shown before payment.
  • If auto-reload is on, your saved card is charged when credit runs low. Turn it off in Settings if you want the balance to be the cap.
  • Never give the agent your card details. Buying credit stays with you.

Questions

Can an AI agent run a skip trace on Skipmatch for me?

Yes, if the agent can use a website for you. Once you have created the account, accepted the permissible-use terms and added prepaid credit, the agent can sign in, upload your CSV, confirm the columns, pay from your credit and download the finished file.

Does Skipmatch have an API?

Not today. There is no API, API key or MCP server. Agents use the same web pages you do, which is why the account setup has to be done by a person first.

Which AI agents does it work with?

Any agent that can operate a web browser on your behalf, such as ChatGPT agent, Grok, Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, OpenClaw or Hermes, can follow the same steps you would. We do not test or certify particular agents, so watch the first order it runs.

How do I stop an agent from spending too much?

Tell it to pay only with Pay with credit, and to stop if the order page offers to add credit or open a card checkout. A credit-paid order needs your balance to cover the whole total. If auto-reload is on, your saved card is charged when credit runs low, so turn it off in Settings if you want the balance to be the cap. Never give the agent your card details.

Does it cost more when an agent runs the list?
