The short answer

A wholesaler's list comes from a list tool, a county export or driving for dollars, and it has owner names and addresses but few working phone numbers. Skip tracing fills that gap for the whole list in one upload. What you get and what you pay on Skipmatch:

  • What goes in: a CSV of 50 to 100,000 rows with an owner name and one complete address (street, city, state and ZIP) on each row. Your column names do not need to match ours; you point each one at the right field during upload. Rows that repeat the same owner and addresses are counted once.
  • What comes back: your own file, every column unchanged, with up to 10 phones per owner, the line type of each, up to three emails, a HIT or MISS flag and a record status appended to each row.
  • What it costs: one price per matched record, shown before you pay. No subscription or monthly seat; prepaid credit is optional. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

Price at typical wholesaler list sizes

Every record in the order is priced at the same rate, so the figure is the row count times that rate. It is the most the list can cost: the amount held on your card at checkout.

RecordsPer record (per lead)At most
1,000$0.03$30.00
5,000$0.03$150.00
10,000$0.03$300.00

From result file to dialer

Skipmatch has no dialer integration or API today: you download the result as a CSV and import it into the dialer yourself. Here is each column of the result file and the field a typical dialer import maps it to. The column names are the real ones from the sample result file; field names vary by dialer.

Your name columns (OwnerFirstName, OwnerLastName in the sample)First name, Last nameYour own columns, returned exactly as uploaded, so they map the way they did when you built the list.
Your property address columnsAddress, or a custom field such as Property addressKeep the property with the contact so the caller knows which house or lot the call is about.
Your mailing address columnsMailing address, or a custom fieldUseful for absentee owners, where the owner lives somewhere other than the property.
Phone1Phone (the primary phone field)The first number returned for the owner.
Phone2 to Phone10Phone 2, Phone 3 and so on, as many as the dialer acceptsUp to 10 per owner. If the dialer takes fewer phone fields, map from Phone2 upward until it runs out.
Phone1Type to Phone10TypeA custom field or tag per phone, or a filter before importMobile, Landline or VOIP: the literal values in the file. Phone1Type describes Phone1, Phone2Type describes Phone2, and so on.
Email1 to Email3EmailBlank where none was found. A call campaign can leave them out; a follow-up email sequence uses them.
HitFlagDo not import; filter on it firstHIT when the row came back with at least one phone or email, MISS when it did not. MISS rows have nothing to dial.
Record statusA custom field, or leave it outNew, Updated or Previously purchased, from your own order history with Skipmatch.

Before you import

  1. Filter HitFlag to HIT. MISS rows have no phone and no email, so they only add empty contacts to the campaign.
  2. Check Record status. Previously purchased marks a record you have run with Skipmatch before that came back with nothing new, so its numbers may already be in an earlier campaign.
  3. Scrub the numbers. Run them against the do-not-call registries and a litigator list before any dialing; Skipmatch does not.
  4. Split by line type if you text. Filter the Phone1Type to Phone10Type columns to send mobiles to a texting tool and the rest to the dialer.
  5. Map the columns in the dialer's import screen. If it takes one phone per contact row, copy the name and address columns once for each phone column in a spreadsheet before import.

Line type and DNC before you dial

Every phone in the file carries its line type, Mobile, Landline or VOIP, because what you may do with a number and how you reach it can depend on the type. The phone line types guide explains the three types and how to sort a call list by them.

The numbers are not consent to contact anyone, and Skipmatch does not scrub them against do-not-call or litigator lists. Calls and texts fall under the TCPA, state rules and the do-not-call registries, and compliance is yours before you dial. Every account accepts the permissible-use terms before its first order. This is general information, not legal advice.

When a bundled platform costs less

Some wholesaling platforms include skip tracing in a monthly plan. PropStream is one: as of Sept 2026, its pricing page publishes these terms, priced per contact rather than per record. Skipmatch is one of the services compared.

PropStream plans and skip tracing terms as published, checked 2026-09-25
PropStream planMonthlyMonthly, billed annuallySkip tracing
Essentials$99$81$0.12 per contact; included with the PropStream Connect add-on, from $30 a month
Pro$199$165Included through PropStream Connect; additional skip tracing $0.10 per contact
Elite$699$583Included through PropStream Connect; additional skip tracing $0.10 per contact
From propstream.com/pricing (opens in a new tab), checked . Prices change; check the linked page before you buy.

A platform with skip tracing included can cost less than paying per record when you trace a high volume every month and use the platform anyway. If you build your lists in PropStream on Pro or Elite, the included traces come with a fee you already pay, and a per-record service adds a cost on top. Past the included traces, additional skip tracing is $0.10 per contact on Pro and Elite, as of .

Paying per record fits when you already have the list, trace in bursts, or would keep a plan only for its traces. For scale: $199, one month of PropStream Pro at the monthly rate, covers a Skipmatch list of up to 6,633 records. Skip tracing with no subscription sets several platforms' plans side by side, and Skipmatch vs PropStream compares the two directly.

Questions

How do wholesalers skip trace a list?

Export the seller list as a CSV with an owner name and one complete address (street, city, state and ZIP) on each row, 50 to 100,000 rows. Upload it, point each of your columns at the right field, see the price and pay. The result is your own list back with up to 10 phones per owner, each labelled Mobile, Landline or VOIP, plus up to three emails, ready to filter and import into a dialer.

How much does skip tracing cost per lead for wholesalers?

Skipmatch prices per matched record: a flat $0.03 a record at any list size from 50 to 100,000 records. A 5,000-record list is at most $150.00, $0.03 a lead. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Skipmatch has no subscription or monthly seat; prepaid credit is optional and each order is priced and paid for on its own. A month with no list to trace has no bill.

Can I load the numbers straight into a dialer?

The result is a CSV, which dialers generally import. Skipmatch has no dialer integration or API today, so you download the file and import it yourself: map the name columns and Phone1 to Phone10 to the dialer's fields, drop MISS rows first, and scrub the numbers against do-not-call and litigator lists, which Skipmatch does not do.

Is skip tracing free with wholesaling software?

Some platforms include it with a paid plan rather than for free, so the plan fee is what pays for it. PropStream's pricing page (propstream.com/pricing, checked 2026-09-25) lists plans at $99, $199 and $699 a month. Skip tracing is $0.12 per contact on Essentials, included through PropStream Connect on Pro and Elite (an add-on from $30 a month on Essentials), and additional skip tracing on Pro and Elite is $0.10 per contact. If you trace a high volume every month and use the platform anyway, a plan with skip tracing included can cost less than paying per record.
