The short answer

Skip Genie is a monthly subscription with an allowance of searches. Skipmatch is paid per list, with nothing to pay in a month you do not trace. Which suits you depends on how you work: one owner at a time, or whole lists.

Monthly cost at 500, 5,000 and 25,000 records a month

Skip Genie's column assumes one search per record, all in one month, at its published 17 cents rate for each search past the first 100. Its join page also says "Pay less per search with higher volume lists" without publishing that rate, so the 5,000 and 25,000 rows may be lower in practice. Skipmatch's column is the most one list of that size can cost.

Single searches vs bulk CSV upload

Skip Genie's site describes both single searches and list uploads (skipgenie.com (opens in a new tab)). Skipmatch does lists only: one CSV of 50 to 100,000 records, up to 50 MB, priced per matched record before you pay. The file comes back with your columns unchanged and up to 10 phones per owner, each labelled mobile, landline or VoIP, plus emails where they exist. See the sample result file.

What happens to unused credits

Skip Genie's join page says unused credits have no cash value, are non-refundable, and can no longer be accessed once the subscription is cancelled (skipgenie.com/join (opens in a new tab), checked 2026-09-25). Skipmatch offers optional prepaid credit: each order is paid for on its own by card or credit. Unused credit follows the expiry and refund policy in the Terms.

When Skip Genie fits better

  • One-at-a-time lookups. Skipmatch's minimum order is 50 records, so it is not built for single owners.
  • A steady number of searches every month that fits the plan's allowance.
  • Coaching: its join page lists weekly Q&A coaching calls with the subscription.
