Who this is for
This page is for collection agencies, debt buyers, collection attorneys and in-house recovery teams that hold account lists with a name and a last-known address but phone numbers that have gone stale. If the list is yours to work and the contact details are the gap, that is what bulk skip tracing fills.
The lists debt collectors bring
- Returned-mail and disconnected-number accounts. Accounts where mail came back or the number on file no longer connects. Re-run the name and last-known address to look for a current number or email.
- Older placements. Accounts placed a while ago, where the phone and address on the original paperwork have aged. Upload the name and last-known address columns and get contacts back for the same rows.
- Portfolio lists before a new campaign. A purchased or placed portfolio, checked for working contact details before you begin outreach.
How it works
- Export your list as a CSV. One row per person, with an owner name and a complete address (street, city, state and ZIP). 50 to 100,000 rows per order. Your column names can be anything; you point each one at the right field during upload.
- Upload it and see the price. The total is shown before you pay. Skipmatch charges $0.03 a record, and you pay only for records that come back with a phone or email. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.
- Download your list with contacts added. You get your own file back with up to 10 phones per person (each labeled mobile, landline or VoIP), up to three emails, and a HIT or MISS flag on every row.
See the columns in a real result on the sample file, or work out a total on the cost calculator.
Permitted use and compliance
Skipmatch is for a lawful business purpose you can state for every record, such as reaching a person about an account you are entitled to collect. It is not a consumer reporting agency and the data is not a consumer report, so it may not be used to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or tenancy, or for any other purpose the Fair Credit Reporting Act covers. The permissible-use terms also bar using the data to stalk, harass, threaten or defraud anyone, or to locate a person in order to cause them harm. Finding a debtor you are entitled to collect from is a permitted use.
If you collect consumer debt, you remain responsible for following the laws that apply to you, which may include the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Regulation F (who you may contact, when and how often), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and do-not-call rules, and state collection law. Skipmatch does not scrub numbers against do-not-call lists and a number in the file is not consent to contact anyone. Every account accepts the permissible-use terms before its first order. This is general information, not legal advice.
