DealMachine skip tracing cost, explained from its pricing page

DealMachine skip tracing costs what its monthly plan costs: as of Sept 2026, tracing draws on plan data credits, $99 a seat with 10,000 credits (Basic), $149 a seat with 20,000 (Pro), or $599 for a 100,000-record package (Scale). It publishes no separate price per trace, so one trace's cost depends on your monthly volume.

The short answer

DealMachine is a subscription: you pay a monthly plan and skip tracing uses the plan's data credits. It does not publish a separate per-record price, and neither its pricing page nor its skip tracing page says how many credits one trace uses. So the useful question is how many traces a month it takes for the plan fee to work out below a per-record price.

Counting the whole fee against skip tracing, one Basic seat ($99 a month) works out below $0.03 a trace, Skipmatch's price per record, from 3,301 traces a month, as far as its credits reach. Trace more than that every month, especially from its driving-for-dollars app, and DealMachine's included credits win. Trace less, or trace a list you already have once in a while, and a per-record order with no monthly fee costs less.

What DealMachine publishes

As published on dealmachine.com/pricing (opens in a new tab), checked , DealMachine sells three monthly plans. Basic and Pro are priced per seat, each seat with its own monthly data credits; Scale is one price for a package with 10 seats. The pricing page publishes no separate price per skip trace.

On the terms, its skip tracing page (dealmachine.com/features/skip-tracing (opens in a new tab)) says: "No contracts, no hidden fees. Cancel anytime." The fee recurs each month you keep a plan.

Plans, prices, credits and seats: dealmachine.com/pricing (opens in a new tab), checked . The last column is our arithmetic: the plan's fee divided by its whole monthly allowance. It is a cost per credit (per record on Scale), not per trace. Annual prices did not display when the page was checked and are left out.

What a data credit buys

Only what DealMachine's own pages state is used here. Its pricing page lists credits per seat on Basic and Pro and a 100,000-record package on Scale, and its pages place skip tracing on those plan credits. Neither page, as checked on 2026-09-25, says how many credits one skip trace uses. So 10,000 credits is not the same as 10,000 skip traces, and this page does not convert one into the other.

Two things follow from the published terms alone. Credits come with each seat, so two Basic seats are $198 a month for 20,000 credits. And because the fee is the same whether you trace ten owners or a few thousand (as far as the credits reach), the cost of each trace falls the more you trace. Before you plan a month around a credit count, ask DealMachine how many credits a trace uses.

Crossover: when the plan costs less per trace

Spread a month's fee over the traces you run and each trace costs less as volume grows. The table shows the monthly trace count from which each plan's fee works out below each of Skipmatch's per-record prices. It counts the whole fee against skip tracing and assumes the plan's credits cover that many traces, which depends on the credits per trace DealMachine does not publish.

Skipmatch's price is the same at every list size, so one column covers every list. The last column does the like-for-like check: the list sizes at which one Skipmatch list costs more than a month of the plan.

Monthly traces at which a DealMachine plan's fee works out below Skipmatch's per-record prices, as of Sept 2026
PlanMonthly feeBelow $0.03 a trace (Skipmatch)Fee below one Skipmatch list of that size
Basic$993,301 traces3,301+ records
Pro$1494,967 traces4,967+ records
Scale$59919,967 traces19,967+ records
Worked from DealMachine's published plan fees (dealmachine.com/pricing (opens in a new tab), checked ) and Skipmatch's ladder: $0.03 a record at any list size. A count is the smallest number of traces at which the fee divided by the traces is below that price. "Already below" means the count falls under that column's list-size range, so the fee is below that price at every size in the range. Every column, the last one included, holds only as far as the plan's credits reach: it assumes they cover that many traces, and DealMachine does not publish how many credits a trace uses. No match or hit rate is assumed for either service, and neither company's data quality is compared.
  • Basic: a month of the plan ($99) costs less than one Skipmatch list of the same size for lists of 3,301 records or more (up to the 100,000-record order limit), as far as the plan's credits reach.
  • Pro: a month of the plan ($149) costs less than one Skipmatch list of the same size for lists of 4,967 records or more (up to the 100,000-record order limit), as far as the plan's credits reach.
  • Scale: a month of the plan ($599) costs less than one Skipmatch list of the same size for lists of 19,967 records or more (up to the 100,000-record order limit), as far as the plan's credits reach.

When DealMachine is the better fit

  • You drive for dollars. DealMachine is a driving-for-dollars and lead platform: the app you record properties in is the same one the credits come with. A per-record service starts from a list you already have. Driving for dollars to skip tracing covers the workflow without an app.
  • You trace thousands of owners every month. For a solo investor driving for dollars and tracing thousands a month, the included credits win: past 3,301 traces, one Basic seat's fee is below one Skipmatch list of the same size, as far as its credits reach, and the fee also buys the rest of the platform.
  • Your volume is steady. A monthly fee pays off when every month is busy. If you trace in bursts, the fee keeps recurring in the quiet months.

None of this says anything about either company's data. It is the published price structure only.

A per-record option for a list you already have

If your list comes from the county, a list provider or a spreadsheet you already keep, you do not need a plan to trace it. Skipmatch prices per matched record: $0.03 a record at any list size. Every record in the order is priced at that one rate, the total is shown before you pay, and there is no subscription, no seat and optional prepaid credit. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

  • 500 records: at most $15.00 ($0.03 a record), once, with nothing after.
  • 2,500 records: at most $75.00 ($0.03 a record), once, with nothing after.
  • 10,000 records: at most $300.00 ($0.03 a record), once, with nothing after.

Any list of 50 to 3,300 records costs less on Skipmatch than one month of a DealMachine Basic seat ($99). Orders run from 50 to 100,000 records in one CSV, and the result file keeps your columns and adds up to 10 phones per owner, each labelled mobile, landline or VoIP, plus emails where they exist. How we checked

DealMachine's plans, prices, credits and seats were read from its own pricing page, and the terms line from its skip tracing page, on 2026-09-25; they are quoted as of Sept 2026. Figures seen only in search snippets or older articles, including older plan names and prices, were left out because the live page did not show them. Skipmatch's figures come from the same price ladder checkout uses, and every worked number on this page is computed from the two sets of published prices when the page renders. Skipmatch is one of the services compared. Prices change; check the linked pages before you buy. How you use traced contacts is regulated; this is not legal advice, see permissible use.

Questions

Is DealMachine free to use?

As of Sept 2026, DealMachine's pricing page (dealmachine.com/pricing, checked 2026-09-25) lists paid monthly plans, starting with Basic at $99 a seat a month with 10,000 data credits a seat, and skip tracing draws on those credits. Its skip tracing page says: "No contracts, no hidden fees. Cancel anytime."

Does DealMachine include skip tracing?

Yes. On DealMachine's pricing and skip tracing pages, skip tracing is part of the plans and draws on each plan's monthly data credits: 10,000 a seat on Basic, 20,000 a seat on Pro, and a 100,000-record package on Scale.

Does DealMachine charge per skip trace?

No separate per-record price is published. You pay the plan ($99, $149 or $599 a month) and skip tracing uses its data credits, so the cost of one trace depends on how many you run that month. For comparison, Skipmatch prices per matched record: a flat $0.03 a record at any list size from 50 to 100,000 records. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

How many skip traces does DealMachine include?

DealMachine lists data credits, not traces: 10,000 a seat on Basic, 20,000 a seat on Pro and a 100,000-record package on Scale. Neither its pricing page nor its skip tracing page, as checked 2026-09-25, says how many credits one skip trace uses, so a trace count cannot be read off the credit count. Ask DealMachine before you rely on one.

Is DealMachine worth it for skip tracing only?

It fits when you trace in volume every month or use its driving-for-dollars app: counting the whole fee against skip tracing, one Basic seat works out below $0.03 a trace (Skipmatch's price per record) from 3,301 traces a month, as far as its credits reach. If you trace fewer, or trace lists you already have now and then, a per-record service prices each list on its own with no monthly fee.
