Skipmatch vs DataSkip: 4¢ per hit vs per record
As of Sept 2026, DataSkip lists a flat 4¢ per hit with misses free, against Skipmatch's 3¢ per record at any list size. Skipmatch's price is the lower unit price, but DataSkip bills hits only, so which costs less depends on how much of the list hits.

The short answer
Skipmatch's 3¢ a record is below DataSkip's 4¢ a hit, but DataSkip bills hits only and its misses are free on its pricing page, while Skipmatch prices per matched record. Skipmatch comes out lower only when more than 75% of the list hits, at any list size. The table below is each company's published terms.
| Service | Published price | Billed on | Subscription | Unmatched records | Minimum | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skipmatch | $0.03 (any list size) | Per matched record | No | Never charged: released from the checkout hold | 50 records | This site |
| DataSkip | A flat 4¢ per hit at any volume from a prepaid balance. A $9.99 a month membership adds 100 free skips a day, up to 3,000 a month. | Per hit | No (prepaid balance) | "Misses are free" | "No minimum order" |

- Misses: "Misses are free".

What Skipmatch publishes
One price per matched record: 3¢ a record at any list size. Every record in the order is priced at that one rate. The quote is shown before you pay, and, if you pay by card, a hold for that amount is placed on your card at checkout; it is the most the list can cost. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.
Orders run from 50 to 100,000 records in one CSV. There is no subscription, no membership; prepaid credit is optional. The result file keeps your columns and adds up to 10 phones per owner, each labelled mobile, landline or VoIP, plus emails where they exist. Full pricing.

Where the lines cross
DataSkip bills only hits, so its bill depends on how much of the list hits; Skipmatch's figure is the most the list can cost. The DataSkip rows assume every record hits, which is the most DataSkip can charge. The last row is the share of the list that has to hit for the two bills to be equal: below that share, DataSkip costs less.
- Any list size at 3¢: Skipmatch costs less only if more than 75% of the list hits; below that, DataSkip does.
| 1,000 records | 5,000 records | 10,000 records | 25,000 records | 50,000 records | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skipmatch, at most | $30.00 (3¢) | $150.00 (3¢) | $300.00 (3¢) | $750.00 (3¢) | $1,500.00 (3¢) |
| DataSkip, every record hits | $40.00 | $200.00 | $400.00 | $1,000.00 | $2,000.00 |
| DataSkip with $9.99 membership, every record hits, free skips (up to 3,000) used first | $9.99 | $89.99 | $289.99 | $889.99 | $1,889.99 |
| Hit share at which the two cost the same | 75% | 75% | 75% | 75% | 75% |
With the membership and a full month of free skips, DataSkip stays below Skipmatch at 1,000 and 5,000 and 10,000 records even when every record hits. The membership saves at most $110.01 a month (3,000 free skips at 4¢, less the fee), so it moves the line most on lists near that size and matters less as lists grow.
Prepaid balance vs paying per order
DataSkip works from a balance you load before you trace; each hit draws 4¢ from it. Its pricing page says "All sales are final. Loaded balances are not refunded." So money you load is committed to DataSkip, and a balance suits someone who traces small batches often and wants no order minimum.
Skipmatch offers card or prepaid credit payment. Each list is quoted on its own before you pay. A card hold or credit reservation covers that list; billable records are charged and the rest is returned. That suits someone who traces a whole list at a time and wants one number for it up front.
dataskip.io is not DataSkip411
The DataSkip on this page is the one at dataskip.io. It is not the same company as DataSkip411 at dataskip411.com, and search results often mix the two names. Every DataSkip figure here comes from dataskip.io/pricing (opens in a new tab); nothing on this page describes DataSkip411 or its prices.
When DataSkip is the better fit
- Lists where fewer than 75% of the records hit. DataSkip's misses are free while Skipmatch prices per matched record, so on a list that hits poorly its 4¢ a hit comes to less than 3¢ a record.
- Single owners and tiny lists. DataSkip states "No minimum order"; Skipmatch's minimum order is 50 records.
- Steady daily tracing. The $9.99 membership's 100 free skips a day add up to 3,000 a month if you trace on all 30 days of the month.
- Large lists where you expect a low hit share. Per-hit billing protects you when a big share of the list comes back empty.
Skipmatch fits when you trace whole lists and expect more than 75% of the list to hit, when you want the most the list can cost shown before you pay, and when you would rather not load a balance first. Every service compared.
How we checked
DataSkip's terms were read from its own pricing page on 2026-09-25 and are quoted as of Sept 2026. Skipmatch's figures come from the same price ladder checkout uses, and every worked cost above is computed from the two sets of published prices when the page renders. Skipmatch is one of the services compared. This page says nothing about either company's data quality or match rates. Prices change; check the linked page before you buy.
