Skipmatch vs SkipMatrix: per match vs per record

SkipMatrix charges only for successful matches: as of Sept 2026 it lists $0.14 to $0.06 per match, by tier, pay-as-you-go with no commitments or contracts, as a done-for-you service. Skipmatch is self-serve and prices per matched record, $0.03 a record at any list size, paid by card or prepaid credit. Both bill on matches, so the per-match price decides which costs less.

The short answer

Both bill only the records that match. SkipMatrix charges per match: $0.14 for 100-9,999 records, $0.12 for 10,000-24,999, $0.10 for 25,000-49,999, $0.08 for 50,000-99,999 and $0.06 for 100,000+, with one rate for the whole order. Skipmatch charges $0.03 a record at any list size. At each list size in the cost table below, SkipMatrix's rate for that many matches is above the Skipmatch per-record price, so for the same number of matches the Skipmatch bill is the smaller of the two.

SkipMatrix also offers one thing Skipmatch does not: it is sold as a done-for-you service. With Skipmatch you run the upload and column mapping yourself. The table below is each company's published terms.

If there are not enough matches to qualify for the initially invoiced rate, SkipMatrix contacts the customer about submitting more records or applying the higher rate.
  • Records that do not match: "You only pay for successful matches".
  • Commitments: pay-as-you-go, with no commitments or contracts.
  • Payment: major credit and debit cards only, no ACH, with a small card processing fee per transaction.

What Skipmatch publishes

One price per matched record: $0.03 a record at any list size. Every matched record is billed at that one rate, whatever the size of the list. The quote is shown before you pay, and, if you pay by card, a hold for that amount is placed on your card at checkout; it is the most the list can cost. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

Orders run from 50 to 100,000 records in one CSV. There is no subscription; prepaid credit is optional. The result file keeps your columns and adds up to 10 phones per owner, each labelled mobile, landline or VoIP, plus emails where they exist. Full pricing.

Cost at 500, 5,000 and 25,000 records

Skipmatch's figure is the most the list can cost. SkipMatrix bills matches only, so its rows assume every record matches, at the tier for that many matches. Because SkipMatrix's rate is set by the match count, a list where fewer records match can land in a higher-priced tier. The last two rows are the number of matches, and that share of the list, at which SkipMatrix's bill equals the Skipmatch quote.

Worked from Skipmatch's price and SkipMatrix's published tiers (SkipMatrix help center: how does the pricing work (opens in a new tab), checked ). Above the break-even number of matches, SkipMatrix's bill is higher than the Skipmatch quote; below it, lower. No match rate is assumed for either service.

Done-for-you vs self-serve

SkipMatrix sells done-for-you skip tracing, priced per successful match. Its initial invoice is calculated from the records submitted and paid by credit or debit card; the final total is then calculated from successful matches, and SkipMatrix refunds the difference if it is lower. This page does not describe SkipMatrix's process beyond what its pricing article publishes; ask SkipMatrix how an order is handed over and delivered.

Skipmatch is self-serve. You upload the CSV your list tool exported (50 to 100,000 rows, up to 50 MB), confirm which columns hold the owner name and the address, see the first rows as they will be read and the price for the whole list, then pay by card or prepaid credit and download the same file with phones, line types and emails appended. Every row also comes back flagged matched or not matched. How it works.

The trade is control against convenience: self-serve means you see the column mapping and the price of the whole list before you pay; done-for-you means the work is done for you.

When SkipMatrix is the better fit

  • You would rather not run the order yourself. SkipMatrix sells the work done for you; Skipmatch has you upload the file and confirm the column mapping.
  • You want the final total trued up to matches. SkipMatrix's initial invoice is set from the records submitted and its final total from the successful matches, with any difference refunded; Skipmatch shows one quote before you pay.
  • Lists over 100,000 records in one go. SkipMatrix publishes a rate for 100,000 or more records and offers custom enterprise pricing on a monthly minimum commitment; one Skipmatch order holds at most 100,000 records.

Skipmatch fits when you want the price of the whole list shown before you pay, when you want one flat price at any list size, and when you would rather run the order yourself. Every service compared.

How we checked

SkipMatrix's terms were read from its help center article on pricing on 2026-09-29, with its homepage calculator linked above, and are quoted as of Sept 2026. Skipmatch's figures come from the same price ladder checkout uses, and every worked cost above is computed from the two sets of published prices when the page renders. Skipmatch is one of the services compared. This page says nothing about either company's data quality or match rates. Prices change; check the linked page before you buy.

Questions

How does SkipMatrix pricing work?

As of Sept 2026, SkipMatrix's help center (help.skipmatrix.com, checked 2026-09-29) lists pay-as-you-go pricing with no commitments or contracts, charged per successful match by tier: $0.14 for 100-9,999 records, $0.12 for 10,000-24,999, $0.10 for 25,000-49,999, $0.08 for 50,000-99,999 and $0.06 for 100,000+. One rate applies to the whole order. The initial invoice is calculated from the number of records submitted; the final total is calculated from the number of successful matches, at the rate for that count, and SkipMatrix refunds the difference if the final total is lower. Payment is by major credit or debit card only (no ACH), with a small card processing fee per transaction. The minimum is 100 records, and custom enterprise pricing is offered for high volume, based on a monthly minimum commitment. For comparison, Skipmatch charges a flat $0.03 a record at any list size from 50 to 100,000 records.

Does SkipMatrix have a subscription?

No. SkipMatrix's help center describes pay-as-you-go pricing with no commitments or contracts; it is priced per successful match. Skipmatch has no subscription either, and optional prepaid credit: each list is quoted on its own and paid for by card or prepaid credit as its own order.

Does SkipMatrix charge for misses?

SkipMatrix's help center says "You only pay for successful matches": it bills the per-match rate for the order's match count ($0.14 to $0.06 per match, by tier) and no fee for a record that does not match. Skipmatch prices per matched record: each matched record is billed at the one flat rate, and the total is shown before you pay. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

Is SkipMatrix better than BatchLeads?

This page does not rank them, and the two publish different kinds of pricing. SkipMatrix lists $0.14 to $0.06 per match, by tier, with no commitments or contracts. BatchLeads (batchleads.io/pricing, checked 2026-09-25) lists plans from $119 a month with 10,000 leads a month, saved leads enriched with phones and emails as part of the plan, and $0.04 per extra lead or export. Which costs less depends on whether you already pay for a BatchLeads plan and how many records you trace. Neither company's data is compared.

Is Skipmatch a done-for-you service?

No. Skipmatch is self-serve: you upload your CSV, confirm which columns hold the owner name and address, see the price for the whole list, pay by card or prepaid credit and download the same file with phone numbers, line types and emails appended. Orders run from 50 to 100,000 records. SkipMatrix is the done-for-you option of the two.
