The short answer

The unit differs. A Tracerfy normal trace uses 1 credit per hit, and you buy credits as you go or through a monthly plan. A BatchData plan is a fixed monthly fee for a set number of records, paid whether or not you use them all.

On those published terms, taking whichever way of paying Tracerfy costs less that month, Tracerfy comes to less than BatchData at 10,000, 50,000, 100,000 and 300,000 records a month. The monthly table below shows each figure. This page compares published prices only, not either company's data, hit rate or match rate.

By records per month: 10,000, 50,000, 100,000 and 300,000

Both companies publish monthly plans at these volumes, so this view prices one month of tracing rather than one list. Each figure is computed from the published terms, not typed. Tracerfy rows read a normal trace with every record a hit, the most that month can cost there; no hit or match rate is assumed. BatchData rows take the smallest plan whose records cover the month.

Minimums, subscriptions and what happens to unused credits

  • Tracerfy: no subscription is required. Pay-as-you-go credits are $0.02 each and, once bought, never expire. The monthly plans (Growth $700, Scale $1,500 and Business $3,000) lower the price per credit to $0.01-$0.014, and their credits reset each billing cycle. A minimum purchase is not stated on the pricing page as we read it.
  • BatchData: skip tracing is sold as monthly plans, from $2,000 a month for 100,000 records, and the plan is the minimum. Its skip tracing page and FAQ refer to pay-as-you-go, but its pricing page lists no pay-as-you-go price. The terms we recorded do not say whether records left unused in a month carry over.
  • Skipmatch: no subscription; prepaid credit is optional; each list is quoted and paid for on its own, from 50 to 100,000 records. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

When each is the better fit

  • Tracerfy fits a buyer who is happy to hold a credit balance, from a small list bought pay-as-you-go to steady volume on a monthly plan. It also publishes other trace types, such as advanced, enhanced and parcel (APN) traces and do-not-call scrubbing, each at its own credit count.
  • BatchData fits a team tracing close to a plan's allowance every month, or one that wants skip tracing through an API. At full use its Growth plan works out to $0.02 a record. Its skip tracing page points people who want to upload a list without coding to its BatchLeads platform.

Another option, priced per record

Disclosure: Skipmatch runs this site, and this section is about Skipmatch. Skipmatch is one of the services compared.

On the published terms above, Skipmatch does not come to less at every volume: at 10,000, 50,000, 100,000 and 300,000 records a month, at least one of Tracerfy and BatchData comes to less, as the table shows. Skipmatch also does not build lists, look up single owners, or scrub numbers against do-not-call lists. It fits when you already have the list and want it traced once, without a plan or a balance:

  • Price: $0.03 a record at any list size. The whole list is priced at that one rate, and the total is shown before you pay. See pricing.
  • Billed: per matched record, per order; no subscription; card or prepaid credit payment.
  • What you get: the file back with your columns unchanged, up to 10 phones per owner, each labelled mobile, landline or VoIP, and emails where they exist.
  • Limits: 50 to 100,000 records per list. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

Calling and texting the numbers you get from any of these services is regulated, and compliance is your responsibility. This is not legal advice; read the permissible-use terms.

How we checked

Each company's terms were read from its own pricing pages on the date shown next to them and are quoted as of Sept 2026. The monthly table multiplies each published unit price by the month's volume and floors to the cent; for a plan it takes one month of the smallest plan that covers the volume. Tracerfy's rows read every record as a hit, which gives the most the month can cost; no hit or match rate is assumed for anyone. This page says nothing about either company's data quality. Skipmatch's figures come from the same price ladder checkout uses. Company names are used only to identify each service. For every tracked service in one table, see the compare page.

Questions

Is Tracerfy cheaper than BatchData for skip tracing?

On their published prices as of Sept 2026, yes, at every volume we worked out: at 10,000 records a month, Tracerfy comes to $200.00 (pay-as-you-go) and BatchData to $2,000.00 (Growth); at 50,000 records a month, Tracerfy comes to $700.00 (Growth) and BatchData to $2,000.00 (Growth); at 100,000 records a month, Tracerfy comes to $1,500.00 (Scale) and BatchData to $2,000.00 (Growth); at 300,000 records a month, Tracerfy comes to $3,000.00 (Business) and BatchData to $5,000.00 (Professional). That reads a Tracerfy normal trace at 1 credit per hit with every record a hit, and the smallest BatchData plan that covers the month (tracerfy.com/pricing, checked 2026-09-25; batchdata.io/pricing, checked 2026-09-25). It compares prices only, not either company's data.

How much does BatchData skip tracing cost per record?

BatchData publishes monthly plans, not a per-record price (batchdata.io/pricing, checked 2026-09-25). Used in full, they work out to $0.02 a record on Growth ($2,000 for 100,000), about $0.017 a record on Professional ($5,000 for 300,000), about $0.013 a record on Scale ($10,000 for 750,000) and about $0.007 a record on Enterprise ($20,000 for 3,000,000). A month that uses fewer records pays the same fee, so 10,000 records on Growth works out to $0.20 a record.

How do Tracerfy credits compare with a BatchData plan?

A Tracerfy credit is spent per hit: a normal trace uses 1 credit, an advanced trace 2. Credits are $0.02 pay-as-you-go and never expire once bought; monthly plans work out to $0.01-$0.014 a credit and reset each billing cycle (tracerfy.com/pricing, checked 2026-09-25). A BatchData plan is a monthly fee for a set number of records, from $2,000 a month for 100,000 records (batchdata.io/pricing, checked 2026-09-25).

Does BatchData sell skip tracing pay-as-you-go?

We did not find a price for it. As of Sept 2026, its skip tracing page (batchdata.io/skip-tracing) and FAQ (batchdata.io/faq) refer to pay-as-you-go, but the pricing page lists only monthly plans for skip tracing. BatchData is the company formerly known as BatchSkipTracing.

Can I trace one list without a plan or credits?

Yes. Skipmatch prices each uploaded list per matched record with no subscription and optional prepaid credit: a flat $0.03 a record at any list size from 50 to 100,000 records. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches. Orders run from 50 to 100,000 records. At steady volume it is not the less expensive choice: at 300,000 records a month, Tracerfy ($3,000.00) and BatchData ($5,000.00) both come to less than Skipmatch ($9,000.00 as 3 lists).
