Short answer

If you trace a steady 100,000 or more records every month, or you need the data through an API, BatchData's plan is the better fit: $2,000 for 100,000 records works out to $0.02 a record when the whole allowance is used, below Skipmatch's price of $0.03.

If your lists are smaller or come in bursts, the plan price is the floor, not the per-record figure. Trace 5,000 records in a month on the Growth plan and it works out to $0.40 a record; one Skipmatch order of the same list is quoted at $150.00. The alternatives below charge per record (Skipmatch: $0.03 a record at any list size), per match (Bulk Skip Trace, REISkip, SkipMatrix), per hit (DataSkip) or in pay-as-you-go credits (Tracerfy), with no monthly plan required.

BatchSkipTracing is BatchData now

batchskiptracing.com now redirects to batchdata.io. BatchData is the company formerly known as BatchSkipTracing: a real estate data company that sells data at scale through an API. Its skip tracing is sold on monthly plans, each with a set number of records a month. As published on batchdata.io/pricing (opens in a new tab) (Skip Tracing tab), checked :

The last column is our arithmetic (price divided by allowance, rounded to the nearest tenth of a cent where marked "about"); BatchData does not publish a per-record skip tracing price. Its pricing page does not state how unmatched records are handled on these plans.

Bulk Skip Trace (bulkskiptrace.com) is a different service with a similar name; it is one of the alternatives below. Our Skipmatch vs BatchData page sets BatchData and Skipmatch side by side at more list sizes.

A per-record price only makes sense next to the plan floor

A monthly plan's per-record figure assumes you use the whole allowance. The $2,000 is the same whether you trace 100,000 records that month or far fewer, so the real price per record is the plan price divided by the records you actually trace:

  • 5,000 records in a month: the Growth plan works out to $0.40 a record; Skipmatch quotes $150.00 ($0.03 a record) for one order of that size.
  • 25,000 records in a month: the Growth plan works out to $0.08 a record; Skipmatch quotes $750.00 ($0.03 a record) for one order of that size.
  • 100,000 records in a month: the Growth plan works out to $0.02 a record; Skipmatch quotes $3,000.00 ($0.03 a record) for one order of that size.

At that price, any single Skipmatch order of up to 66,666 records is quoted below one month of BatchData's Growth plan. Several smaller orders in the same month are each quoted separately, so add their quotes together before comparing.

Skipmatch prices per matched record, per order: the quote is shown before you pay, and the hold placed on your card at checkout is the most the list can cost. There is no subscription and optional prepaid credit. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.

The alternatives

Six services you can use without a monthly plan, each quoted from its own page as of Sept 2026. Skipmatch is one of the services compared.

Skipmatch

One price per matched record: $0.03 a record at any list size. Orders of 50 to 100,000 records, paid by card or prepaid credit per order, with no subscription. Each record returns up to 10 phones, each labelled mobile, landline or VoIP, plus emails where they exist. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches. No API today: you upload a file.

Bulk Skip Trace

Per match from a credit balance: $0.14 a match for orders of 1–4,999 records, $0.12 for 5,000–9,999, $0.10 for 10,000–100,000 and $0.08 above 100,000, as its pricing FAQ sets the rate for a whole order by its record count. No subscription and no monthly minimum stated. Its pricing page answers "Do I pay for records that don't match?" with "No." and says unmatched records go back to your balance as credits, not cash. New customers get their first deposit matched in credits. Despite the similar name, it is not BatchSkipTracing.

Figures in brackets are the price per record, match or hit. Bulk Skip Trace's price table prints credit ranges that share their edges (1-5,000, 5,000-10,000, 10,000-100,000, 100,000+); its pricing FAQ gives a whole order one rate by its record count ($0.14 a match for orders of 1–4,999 records, $0.12 for 5,000–9,999, $0.10 for 10,000–100,000 and $0.08 above 100,000), and that is the rate used here. Where a service does not print the volume at which its lower rate starts, the cell shows both rates. Tracerfy is shown at its pay-as-you-go credit price for a normal trace; its monthly plans price credits lower. Minimums, memberships and first-deposit offers are left out.

Even if every record matched, the published rates put Tracerfy at every size shown below Skipmatch's quote. The difference is in how you pay. Tracerfy: credits, per hit; subscription optional (pay as you go, or monthly plans). Skipmatch: one price per matched record, paid by card or prepaid credit per order, with no subscription.

When BatchData is the better fit

  • A steady 100,000+ records every month. Used in full, the Growth plan works out to $0.02 a record, below Skipmatch's price of $0.03; at 100,000 records, Skipmatch quotes $3,000.00 against the plan's $2,000.00. Its larger plans lower the figure further: Professional about $0.017, Scale about $0.013 and Enterprise about $0.007 a record when fully used.
  • You need an API. BatchData sells its data through an API. Skipmatch has no API today: you upload a file and download the result.
  • More than 100,000 records at once. A Skipmatch order holds up to 100,000 records; BatchData's listed plans run to 3,000,000 records a month.

The alternatives fit the other case: lists that vary in size, come in bursts or stop for a few months, where a monthly floor is paid whether or not you trace anything.

FAQ

Is BatchSkipTracing the same as BatchData?

Yes. As of Sept 2026, batchskiptracing.com redirects to batchdata.io: BatchData is the company formerly known as BatchSkipTracing, and its skip tracing is now sold on BatchData's monthly plans. It is not the same service as Bulk Skip Trace (bulkskiptrace.com), which has a similar name, its own site and its own prices.

How much is BatchData skip tracing per record?

BatchData does not publish a per-record price for skip tracing. Its pricing page (batchdata.io/pricing, checked 2026-09-25) lists monthly plans from $2,000 a month for 100,000 records, which works out to $0.02 a record only if all 100,000 are used that month. Trace 5,000 records on that plan and it works out to $0.40 a record.

Does BatchData have a minimum monthly plan?

The smallest skip tracing plan on BatchData's pricing page, as of Sept 2026, is $2,000 a month for 100,000 records. The larger $5,000 (300,000 records), $10,000 (750,000 records) and $20,000 (3,000,000 records) plans raise both the price and the allowance. The page does not state how unmatched records are handled on the skip tracing plans.

Batch Skip Tracing or REISkip?

The units differ. Batch Skip Tracing is now BatchData, which lists skip tracing plans from $2,000 a month for 100,000 records, billed monthly. REISkip's pricing page (reiskip.com/pricing) lists $0.15 per match with a 50-match minimum and no subscription listed, and marks the price as introductory. Both as of Sept 2026. This page makes no claim about either company's data.

Which alternatives need no plan?

All six on this page can be used without a monthly plan, as of Sept 2026: Skipmatch (per matched record, a flat $0.03 a record at any list size from 50 to 100,000 records), Bulk Skip Trace ($0.14 to $0.08 per credit by volume, charged per match), REISkip ($0.15 per match), DataSkip ($0.04 per hit from a prepaid balance; its membership is optional), SkipMatrix ($0.14 to $0.06 per match, by tier) and Tracerfy ($0.02 per credit pay-as-you-go; its monthly plans are optional). Skipmatch orders run from 50 to 100,000 records, paid by card or prepaid credit per order. Minimum charge $0.50 when any record matches.
